Hyland Capital is always looking for bright, motivated individuals to join our team. We currently have two distinct career paths available. A career with Hyland Capital will allow you the flexibility to choose your own clients and work your own hours, from the comfort of a home office, or from your current office. You are able to do business with any company in Canada or the United States, and in some instances, internationally. Financing Consultants can work either full or part-time. For those individuals who simply want to refer business, you may join as a referral agent (full descriptions are provided below).
We provide access to all lenders and support with all funding requests. While you will be working for yourself, you certainly won’t be by yourself.
All positions are straight commission, with discretionary bonus. We will consider a draw if you bring substantial experience and a list of clients with you.
Position: Financial Consultant
Location: Nationwide
In this role, you will source and service all of your own business. Specifically, you will undertake sales activities to secure funding (equipment leases, lines of credit, etc.) for businesses. You will have ownership of the deal from start to finish.
Having a passion for helping the small to medium sized business owner, an understanding of their challenges and a desire to provide the utmost in customer service are key requirements. Attention to detail, integrity, ambition, self-management and desire are key competencies.
Specific experience might include any business to business sales experience, prior leasing or lending experience, or customer service roles. The ability to work with and understand financial mathematics, accounting concepts and related items is desired.
Proficient use of and access to communication technologies is essential.
Recent graduates will be considered.
Tasks:
- Source new business (networking, warm markets, centers of influence)
- Undertake consultative approach to needs analysis, positioning yourself as a CFO for the small to medium sized business owner
- Submit requirements to Hyland Capital head office, with all required supporting documentation (including financial statements, executive summaries and any forms needed)
- Remain in contact with client while funding request is submitted to lenders (by Hyland Capital)
- Liaise with client and Hyland Capital regarding further requests for info during the decision process
- Present solution(s) to client in a way that address all previously identified needs, in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
- Ensure all documentation is completed for funding to take place
Follow up with clients regularly to ensure satisfaction and to remain “top of mind” for future needs
Grow and manage a network of referral agents (described below)
In this role you will be provided with industry leading commissions on the deals you are able to fund. Future growth will result in having your own team/office and full marketing support (including lead generation) from Hyland Capital, and the potential from having your own network of referral agents.
Training will be provided if deemed necessary.

Position: Referral Agents
Location: Nationwide
This is a unique opportunity Hyland Capital has created that will help individuals earn an income as a referral agent, and build a network of referral agents as well. We do not require any specific experience, although exposure to business owners and/or a team of sales people will certainly jump-start your success.
Most business sales people simply exchange referrals between each other as compensation. Hyland Capital is always eager to work with other professionals who cater to a similar market with their unique service offering. However we feel it is more effective to have a standard in place for compensating anyone who would like to refer business to Hyland Capital, regardless of what their current endeavors are.
In this role, we simply ask that someone provide us with a contact name, phone number, brief overview of the business, description of the financing required and the permission for one of our consultants to contact the business owner.
Depending on the nature and size of the transaction, we will pay from 10 to 50% of the fees Hyland Capital earns on any funded deal. Typically, we pay 20% of the fees earned.
Volume bonuses will be paid and are discretionary.
Marketing support can be provided for a fee if requested.

Position: Telesales Professionals
Hyland Capital runs a number of initiatives to generate new business and cashflow for the company. We have an outstanding opportunity available for individuals who are disciplined to do the following:
Make 150-200 dials per day.
Effectively follow up with prospects.
Comfortable working from their own home office.
This position is a straight commission role, with the potential to earn in excess of $2,000 per week, plus bonuses.
